How do we save for retirement without losing money in highly volatile financial markets? It is a million dollar question for every household and pension fund manager around the world.

Robert C. Merton, an American Nobel Laureate in economics who has spent many years applying financial theories to managing funds, will come to the club and share his wisdom on "pension issues in an aging society. "

Professor Merton teaches finance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He is also a resident scientist at Dimensional Fund Advisors(DFA), which has been offering investment solutions since 1981. DFA manages $283 billion and invests in global equity, fixed-income and commodity markets. Merton is also known for his role in running the now-defunct hedge fund Long-Term Capital Management.

David Booth, chairman and co-CEO of DFA will also discuss why he donated $300 million to University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 2009.
